I think Gwen is right - a photocopy should give the proof they need.

I don't know, but would expect that a photo copy would suffice, as they surely just need verification that he's died.

Hi Folks,
I am applying for the army service record of my grandfather. The request form from the MOD states that a copy of the death certificate must be provided.

Does anyone know if a photocopy will suffice or do they require the actual certified copy?
