I have been told that my father was held by the Japanese in a POW Camp in Thailand.. Help please... where can I search for proof?

WW2 service records are still with the MOD and are not on line.

Look here for how to order them:-

They cost £30 and can take quite a while to arrive (several months).

Dear Caroline,

All POWs held by the Japanese are listed at the National Memorial Arboretum at Alrewas in Staffordshire. Check their website and email them for information.
