My mother told me that she didn't bother sending for her medal, perhaps your mother didn't either.

The ATS was a territorial service, and not part of the Regular Army, so different criteria may apply

My Mother was in the ATS during WW2 and I understand that all who served in that war were given a war medal, I have never seen hers so I wonder if she had one and if not will I be able to send for it?
