I am after a painting of my Great Grandfather's ship but all that side (mother's mother's) seem to have been anti social recluses even the graves are unmarked and so far I haven't been able to find living relatives on that side.

That sounds fantastic. sounds like you had a lovely day. So nice to meet people you have never met before but are related. Don't think that will happen to me being so far away from them all. Although I have found hubby's 2nd Cousin on GR and she keeps in touch regularly. I found most of mine on Ancestry

I had a fantastic day! He is so lovely. He's met so many people that are only names on a tree to me - now they are becoming more real.

I commented on a wonderful oak chest in his front room - turns out it came from the house my GGgrandparents lived in, and was made in 1630!

Although the food is BLAHHHH they have the strictest franchise conditions in the world and insist they are adhered to.Whenever in a strange country you can rely on a clean kitchen and loo.I usually buy a drink only so I can use the loo.
