*$parkling $andie* Report 29 Mar 2009 19:03

Sorry I haven't been back ,I still haven't done the dishes ! and hubby's home.
Got hijacked by my dau about her make up for this forthcoming wedding !
She 's been experimenting and has a few blemishes on her chin from 'spots' ., and was surprised when I covered them up for her with my Guthy Renker 'Sheer Cover' mineral foundation and finishing make up, so although she's recently bought some quite expensive make up for 'the big day' I think she will be hijacking my 'Sheer cover' also.
That's a first mother having something better than she has ! ,lol
Then we had the eye make up, she has deep set hazel eyes, and had brown eye shadow on, which looked nice but didn't 'bring out'' her eyes enough,so on her left eye I've extended the colour higher up her brow and blended it and it looks much better. Her brother thought comparing the two , her left looked as if she had a bruised eye, hubby couldn't tell any difference, Men !!!!
I must do those dishes!
Looks as if I've missed Jackie and Daphne again.
Goodnight both, sweet dreams
((((hugs)))
Sandie.x

I WILL be back in a bit.!..lol

For anyone who is still using XP SP2, the attached patch needs to be installed. XP sp3 users should already have this patch on, if you have Downloaded MS updates on regular basis.

Oh bless Jackie, he'll feel all the better with you having trimmed his beard, am thinking of you all. x

Not sure if this is this is the same XP Daphne, just c/p it from what I put on earlier.

It also skips the download of Antivirus XP, a fake security program that once lured victims into handing over credit card information and later became a dead giveaway of a Conficker infection.

I agree with the changing of dates, will ask my friend who's in the 'know' how to. Always wise to err on the side of caution.

Jackie, how's your brother doing ..

WhackyJackieInOz

WhackyJackieInOz Report 29 Mar 2009 17:36

Mine also runs scans regurlarly and updates. Doesnt hurt to change the date anyway I can always make it correct on the 2nd

Daphne Report 29 Mar 2009 17:34

He's in bed with his laptop and I am in the office, we often send stuff to each other. When his daughter lived with us she would send us emails after I stopped her using the mobile phone from one end of the house to the other.
Emails cost nothing.

ShimmsRedRoseAndMistletoe

ShimmsRedRoseAndMistletoe Report 29 Mar 2009 17:32

Googled, found this. I have a powerful version of Norton, runs scans all the times, I also manually do comprehensive scans.

BT emails are protected by Norton and Spam Guard on my poota; apparently you should be very careful with Forwards as the virus can be in the actual picture ... hadn't realized that lol.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The new version allows the virus to download updates that could potentially give it new abilities and ways of spreading. It also skips the download of Antivirus XP, a fake security program that once lured victims into handing over credit card information and later became a dead giveaway of a Conficker infection.
Experts believe that older versions of the virus will not be able to automatically update to the newer version and that systems with the proper security updates from Microsoft should be safe. But that's no excuse for letting yourself get comfortable. Programs such as Conficker are dangerous, and only your own due diligence can keep you safe. So run regular scans and keep Windows, as well as your anti-virus and anti-spyware tools, up-to-date.
