Okra

It went well, Jem. A great team effort :-D

There were a few glitches and not all on my part, but the meeting was described as 'a very good one' The real problems came later at the meal when some of the officers of the Lodge didn't stay, particularly the Junior Warden :-D

I'm not sure about other Constitutions but in WA the Junior Warden is responsible for organising the social side of things like the meal and raffles etc. So I had to do his job as well as my own and then take the part of another officer at the close of the meal.

However, it was ok and I was home by 8.00 pm. Still a long day from 1.30pm :-(. Some country lodges really drag out the meal so that they don't finish until after 10.00pm. For those who have travelled from Perth it makes a very long day

Can't relax too much Jem. I have another installation to attend next Saturday at Donnybrook. Whilst I won't be the Director of Ceremonies I do have a major part to play so it's back to the books again with a rehearsal next Tuesday evening :-(

OH is then going to walk to the local shops where she has been invited for coffee with some of her former work colleagues :-D
