Hi, Jem :-)

Don't be so daft :-|

It was a very common treatment. As the pain got worse so the amount of morphine increased.

In Australia (as far as I am aware) morphine can not be legally prescribed to dying patients, as it is addictive :-|

Where's the common-sense?

My mother was on morphine. I think it is prescribed here for cancer patients as part of palliative care.

Why would it matter to a dying person if a pain relief substance is addictive?!
These systems are bonkers sometimes!

I just thought- is Kaolin and Morphine still available over the counter? And if so, should it be? :-S :-S

O, as in Oh what O food is there that we haven't already posted hundreds of times!! :-D

In Oz, it matters not that a person may be in extreme pain: they may become addicted :-S

Sorry for my non-appearance earlier. I received five certificates yesterday relating to a Mortimer family, so spent time filling in some details. Still not sure they are 'my' family, but, wow! intriguing all the same

Follow every avenue Allan.
You'd be amazed at how many big breakthroughs I've had by following seemingly unconnected people!
I hope you find some leads :-)
