	People told us that it would look dark, but it actually lightens the rooms. All we need now are new blinds, and probably new curtains throughout the house. Oxo cubes and that's my lot for now. Now that it is light I'll have to check the garden for any damage. Two cold fronts have brought very strong winds and heavy rain with them :-( Sleep well, Jem :-)

	Found the paint colour. It is dieskau http://www.inspirationspaint.com.au/colours/details/dieskau. You can get insulation to go under the laminates. We didn't bother as the planks are 5mm thick compared to the old vinyl which was only a thin sheet. Monkfish

	It came through straight away. It's lovely. Laminate is all the rage here, but it's noisy and cold. I prefer vinyl, especially for kitchens or bathrooms. Lemon Chicken

	It's a light grey Jem. The floor is copper gum https://www.integradirect.com.au/product/karndean-looselay-llp33t-copper-gum/ it may take a while for the picture to appear. After all the dark Jarrah we decided to go with a modern light feel, but we still had to coordinate colours with our family room which still has Jarrah skirtings, but the same grey walls as the kitchen. The wall paint is a weird name which is actually pronounced 'disco' but it is not spelt that way. I'll have to dig out the colour chart :-D :-D Kale

	It's lovely. Mrs Allan has good taste :-) Is that dove grey on the walls? The flooring makes it warm too! Very nice :-) Jam Suet pudding

	We like it. Our son came round last night. It is the first time that he's seen it and he also likes it, particularly the new floor-covering :-D Ice-cream
