As I say, Tawny, they are only minor. The race will now be on to open the Old Coast Road as quickly as possible. The South West Highway will be closed for months and using the Albany Highway involves a 100 km detour

It is, and there is one more person missing. A few minor inconveniences here such as milk sales are now being restricted Harvey is a major dairying area and because of the road closures, farmers not directly affected by the fire can't get the milk to the processing plants :-(

Sorry for the delay, Tawny. I had to go out and get petrol for the car; deliveries down here from Perth are likely to be affected.

This fire was caused by lightning last Wednesday morning. Quite a few are started by arsonist

That is one thing to be thankful for. I guess all people can hope for is that they manage to get it under control soon. Do they know what started it was it nature or man?

Still out of control. The south west is virtually cut off from Perth, and guess where all our petrol etc. comes from? at home this morning, there is a fine layer of smoke at ground level, complete with associated smell :-(

Still we are in a far better position than those directly affected by the fire, with one town being virtually wiped out. Fortunately there have been no deaths or serious injuries.
