I'm sorry about your sister, Jem. Guinea pigs are great little animals, and very affectionate. OH loves to give them a cuddle every day :-)

Venison is a bit 'stronger' in flavour than beef, but is very lean. The venison we buy is farmed. I should imagine that wild venison has quite a 'gamey' flavour.

Oz is the only country where the population can eat the animals on its Coat-of-Arms :-D

My sister's Guinea Pig has just died.

She has very poor health and is on her own with a daughter with special needs. The guinea pig was like her baby.She is absolutely heartbroken. :-(

I've never eaten venison, what's it like?

as I have just found out you can eat them, and I'm running out of W foods :-D :-D :-D

We wanted to time it for the markets, Jem. Also, with our animals (cat, two guinea pigs and a budgie) one night away is all we can manage without asking someone to look after them :-D

Lodge Installation is on 12th September, in the morning. This is the first time that the Lodge has had a morning one, usually it is in the afternoon. I've an evening rehearsal on Tuesday, and then going in on Friday to set up the Lodge Room.

Comparatively speaking, Margaret River is just down the road; about an hour's journey. Unfortunately the weather forecast is not crash hot, but hey ho. We are not taking our laptops as we are only going for the one night :-)
