Yes, that was a bit strange Allan! :-S
Pasteur was using Garlic in the 19th Century but as you said, penicillin wasn't discovered until the 1920s well after Pasteur's death in 1895!

I loved this bit in the link you posted re garlic

to Louis Pasteur, who documented that one millimeter of garlic juice is equivalent to 60 milligrams of Penicillin in 1885,

I though that penicillin wasn't discovered until the 1920's

Too early to tell, but OH has a cold, as does my daughter who flew to Sydney last Thursday to see a show :-S and flies back today. It must have been a good show as daughter has a mortal fear of flying :-D
