That looks nasty, Jem, I hope that the weather isn't cold when your grandson sits his exam :-(

And that's it from me for the moment.

Sleep well :-)

Oh! It's unlikely he has a photo then :-(

A generator right next to my Grandchildren's school, serving the school, hospital and nearby works, exploded lunchtime today and set the school on fire!

The school was evacuated but everyone was safe. Unfortunately some of year 11 were about to sit an ITC GCSE.

The power is out, and there is smoke damage. But if the children had not had early lunch today, they may have been outside near the generator! It does not bear thinking about!

Grandson 1 has an English Literature GCSE tomorrow at 9 am, so only those sitting GCSEs can go in. I don't think the power is back on there yet, and they have no emergency generator.

I got the impression that Gerry was doing the tree for a friend :-)

Gerry does not say what relation James Platt is to him in his opening post. I wonder if he has a photo?

Jersey New Potatoes

I don't know, Jem. I think that I will have to join the local Family History Society again to access Ancestry as the fall in the Ozzie dollar makes taking out a subscription very expensive :-(

JemimaFawr

JemimaFawr Report 21 May 2015 23:41

I wonder would anyone on Ancestry have a photo of "James Platt"?

So do you think James Platt may be Clifford pre name change?

There were quite a few options with Lancashire / London area links

Hi, Jem :-)

Yes but almost upside-down :-S Seems this one has an early history but no late one, whereas Clifford has no early history only a late one. It's also one of the few threads that I have seen where the professions match nicely

Any connection to Clifford?

Hello all,

Baked beans

This will be my only post at the moment.

I've had a fascinating thread on Ancestors brought to my attention that I have been poring over, and soon I'm going to take OH to the bus terminal as she is going up to the Craft Fair in Perth :-)
