It is better in a way if they do see you, as I suppose developments in conditions could get missed. Not so good if you need to pay though.

We moan about the NHS but it could be a lot worse.

Here, the doctor wants to see you before handing out any repeats....it's another $75 dollars in their pocket, although I'm bulk billed so it shouldn't cost me anything.

I usually get the repeats at the time of my Diabetes review which happens every six months, but things got a little bit out of kilter last year

I have an arrangement with the chemist in the next building. They put in the order for the repeat prescriptions when the time comes, They will even deliver if you want them too.

Of course, it would be different if the doctor has to monitor your condition more closely.

Should be in and out. I'm only going for a repeat prescription. However, I'm not seeing my usual GP as she has no appointments until next week. I can usually get in to see her either on the same day, or the day after, but being Easter week a few of the GP's are on leave so the rest have to take up the slack. I'll literally take the last of one of my tablets this morning :-0
