Hi Jem :-)

It's about 60kms North of us. Ironically, OH is going to Pinjarra this morning with the choir. The most direct route would have been vi Waroona, but the last we heard the South West Highway is still closed so she will have to go via the Forrest Highway

I just watched your news clip.

What a terrible situation! Those Fire Fighters are heroic! The terrain and the very strong winds must make it extremely hard and dangerous for them!

It's sad that some people have lost property, but it didn't mention fatalities, so hopefully, no one has died.

I feel so sorry for the wild life! :-( :-(

How far away from you is it?

Will they have to evacuate the town?

I wasn't up to working out the mess on the posting last night with this cold, so I watched telly instead. There was a programme on the documentary channel- Animal Cops Houston.

There were raging fires, and the area had to be evacuated, but they had to leave their animals (livestock, horses etc) to fend for themselves :-( :-(
There were teams of volunteers going in to try to rescue / try to care for them!

There was one home, where there were 3 little dogs, who's owners had been prevented from returning and they were locked in the house. They were saved, but they were terrified! :-(
