Good thinking.

I am deleting most of the threads that I have started and have about three weeks in which to do so before my paid membership expires. This will be the end of an era for me because I have been a paying member of this site since 2004, but I no longer think it is fit for its purpose.

I shall not delete threads that I consider useful on the tips / genealogy chat board.

Sometime before 22nd June, I shall delete this thread. Thank you to the contributors for their contributions.

We have never used the records in the site as we subscribe to ancestry / find my past; and I find that other (free) forum / s are organised very well:

I also subscribe to FMP and Ancestry. I was only directed to this site when I first started researching my tree. I thought that my grandfather was mentioned by one poster, but it turned out to be the wrong man. My grandfather still eludes me :-(

I do have a tree on here but have also transferred it to the other sites :-)
