I am President of a surname society for Chamberlains of all spellings, the perhaps grandiosely titled World Chamberlain Genealogical Society, but in the past 30 years we have had members on 5 of the continents. So far, no members in Asia or Antarctica. One of the questions for those of us who descend from long ago immigrants is where in the British Isles (or France) did our line originate. Thanks to DNA matching, we answered that question for one of the major lines, the Richard Chamberlain and Sarah Bugbee descendants. They match Chamberlains in Somerset and the ancestors lived in North Cadbury and before that Milborne Port. Church records back this up. So a big success. Now we just have 50 more lines of Chamberlains to connect with their roots. Also, If anyone can suggest how to learn more about Milborne Port and it's two manors, I am very interested. Thanks John Chamberlin
