Kense Report 22 Jul 2016 21:28

Recently some threads have been reported and subsequently deleted even though the contributors to the threads can see nothing wrong with the postings.

I would like to see some consideration given to keeping such reported threads as often many members have spent considerable time contributing to those posts.

It should also be standard practice to inform the owner of the thread as to the reason for its removal.

I realise it takes a bit longer to check the reason given but it seems that most reporting must be for mischevous reasons rather than for being offended or against GR rules.

I had a thread reported within a couple of minutes and it did not contain any specific information. It was then removed by GR , with no explanation.

When I queried this it was stated that there was too many specific details.

I posted a mother named Smith (no birth date/location, just a year), and father McLeish (no birth date or year but birth place Ireland) so how do they consider this invalid?

Not asking the question, just stating a case - I was actually warned by GR that if I posted such info again I would have my sub revoked!!

God knows how they actually monitor the boards, but I terminated my sub after this and have only just come back with the standard sub (as it was well discounted to get people back :-P
