After decades filling my Family Tree, I've been told by a very elderly family member, that my mother may have been' put into' a convalesent home in Birkenhead, some time up until World War one. began, this isn't certain, or how long she was there , assuming she was, a she never mentioned it ,( despite spending many years telling us fascinated kids, all about her life in that period, with vivid details.), for how long there, is not known So, how ,where, do I set the ball rolling, I see that there are many such homes in Birkenhead, today.

No point asking questions on here, GR does not look at this Board. It should really be closed.

In any case, it was intended to be for suggestions to improve GR, not for suggestions on where to look or how to do research.

May I suggest that you re-post your question on Genealogy Chat where other members may well be able to help you.
