- I have almonds freshly picked ( its harvest time here ) and de shelled - I will toast up a jar full for her to take home - and I do my own in toffee - might make some for her when she is here

Hi all

internet went down .................. but it was rather strange

I was on one of my internet sites, and that was not affected. BUT I couldn't access any other sites, couldn't bring up Symantec, couldn't do anyhthng ..... except on that one site. It was like that for about 3 hours


They're now all going to be wondering why I posted so often on there today when I normally only post once every 2 or 3 days!

I KNOW there are a lot of JANE DAVIES,s born that time in Bedwellty reg district,which is why I gave them parents names and filled in the online order with the 01/01/50 as told if you were not sure of dates so that they would do a search as it says on their data.

I sent her a superb plastic mushroom - ( made of the very best chinese cheap plastic ) and when you pushed on the mushroom - a tooth pick popped up - she said they laughed all day at it -

I suppose I am a little bit 'spoilt' - I spent 10 years or so working over in Spain, on and off, staying in various hotels which became like my 'second home' - I knew all the staff and they knew me and cooked whatever I wanted for breakfast and treated me like a member of their family - It was very nice and I had everything I could possibly want.

I had company and conversation in the evening and was also pampered by the local restaurant owners and their families.

It wasn't like staying in a 'Travel lodge' somewhere - 'cold and unfriendly' !

I really miss that now I can no longer do it.

MUST go back and visit them all again some time.

Yes the client did offer me an over night stay but I like 'home' and it's only an hour back at that time of night...45 minutes if I put my foot down

I like a cuddle with JB and a cup of Assam in the morning and I never sleep in hotels

Like you all, I just enjoy being able to help.

If I wanted to help such people, I would rather make a living out of it for myself, so it is good to have them identified !!

However, thankfully, that is not what it is all about with the majority of helpers on here!
