You guys ... its about people who are *plainly* exploiting the "volunteer helpers" here to do things that *they* are getting paid for.

Someone who posts 150 threads in 2 months asking mainly for census lookups is just *not* researching their family.


... but y'know, tree searches do find the names ... so it's just a case of getting someone else to do that work for free that one might have to pay quite a small amount to do for one's self. I guess there are those who find doing dozens of "lookups" for somebody else's tree more interesting than I do ...

Well Renes - I can't say that I 'love' going to the Dentist but I really don't mind it

My Dentist is lovely and I really trust him - I never have an injection when I have a filling - he gives me a choice of with or without and I just ask him if it would be O.k. without - If he says yes then that is what I do.

Far better than all that 'numb face and drooling, I agree.

Looked out of the kitchen window whilst washing up and saw a man in the field behind our house. "What's he up to ?" I wondered....then I noticed he had a metal detector and was scouring the field. When I went upstairs I saw that there were 3 of them! Hope they don't find a hidden hoard - we lead a quiet life around these parts....lol


Haven't had the grandchildren today as one of them is poorly but we should be back to normal tomorrow.

Advanced Search is a useless thing. It works for TS when you use the keyword "thanks", for instance. It worked for the poster of 1242452 with no keyword. I can't get it to work for any version of squigglesJ(,)AWsquiggles at all.
