AAARGH.

Landover Baptist is PARODY.

There really ARE people like that in the US -- but Landover Baptist is MOCKING THEM.

Aaaaaaargh.

It's hilariously funny. Read Betty Bowers. Note the "Homeskooling" merchandise.

Baptists actually account for something like 45% of the US population (I think they're about 2% here in Canada -- we have all those RC Frenchies who skew the mix). And the Southern Baptist branch are really like that. Jimmy and Roslyn Carter quit that church publicly after he was president, because they're right-wing racists. Black Baptists, on the other hand, are nearly as bad. Early in his primaries campaign, Obama did basically a revival meeting tour, and shared a stage with a nasty homophobic bigot black country singer, thus alienating every GLBT person in the country ...

Booga booga.

jax, I ain't up to nowhere on East Enders. It went "on holiday" for the summer. BBC Canada website said to watch my schedule for its return in September!!! I've been watching. All I'm seeing is four (and I'm not kidding) hours of that car show per day, and four (okay, the may be up to six now) rotating episodes of Build a New Moneypit in the Country. And a load of suchlike crud, half of it made-in-Canada reruns. I don't know how much Holmes on Homes a person can take before shooting themself in the head with a nailgun.

Anyhow, before EE went bybye ... I actually can hardly remember. The postal couple were doing something. The wife of the guy who is somehow related to Pat had recently gone off on a cruise around the world with somebody's ashes. Good lord, I may not know the names, but I have always known the plots. Three months, and it's all leaked out ... The ugly ginger baldie was about 2 months into the separation resulting from the son's wedding DVD ...

Im not reading your BIG little white space posts JC...

Here's what I'd like to see;

Cynthia ... imagine my fun as I hunted and hunted for old Ernest Hill/Monck's sister's kids under their father's fake name .................. McCock.

Search trees here for it.

No, Jock McCock is not a real person. Nor are any of his family members.

The tree owner didn't know Jock's real surname, so that's what he landed him with. Yes, I inquired. Quite excited, I was.

Anyhow, the googling did find me the son in the Imperial Yeomanry at Kevin Asplin's site eventually. And a novelist in South Africa named Cyril McCock who I fantasized was the grandson of Ernest's sister -- the son of my grfather's first cousin.

Bought a book of his on line from a children's charity in Port Elizabeth. No bio though. But then last year I searched trees again ... and there was N McC, born in Port Elizabeth.

The genuine article. A greatx2 granddaughter of my grx2 grandparents Hill from Cornwall. Whom, of course, she had never heard of. She'd never even heard of her own gr-grmother, my Ernest's sister

Edit; forgot to say...you wrote.rit.writ.rite!
