Cyn

Thank you for asking - my little white bones are showing thru - the "cornflakes" here are like little rubbery flakes - and as I don't like milk - not a lot of good really - only use them to make the choc crispy things with my own dried grapes - and almonds - don't have almond tree - cause there are hundreds here growing wild

Cyn - if you want to pm me your email I will send photos - as I did Dee

Where is Dee today

Have you had your cornflakes yet Renes? Don't want you fading away...

Renes

Renes Report 2 Sep 2010 19:34

Jax

No - but it is true that only about 60% germinate - this is the first year I have grown them - I dug one up today - the peanuts grow underground - just like potatoes - and you are supposed to dig them up and leave on their side to dry
I sent some to my sister in Norfolk and she has them growing in her greenhouse !
They are a pretty plant - with deep orange little flowers - am uploading photos to FB later My sister also took rootings of my lemon grass and they are growing in the greenhouse - lemon grass grows wild in my garden - I rip it out and burn it !!! - she had heart attack when she saw me - says she buys in M&S at some ridiculas price

Renes it is 14:17 Eastern time now I guess you were late.

Breakfast update for tomorrow:

Sorry couldn't find any roadkill so for tomorrow you will have to settle for fresh fruit trays, croissants, fresh baked scones
choice of jams along with an assortment of fresh squeezed juices. Butter being churned after I post this.

In deference to those way east of here I will put fruit and juices in fridge at 21:00 our time 01:00 GMT (Zulu time)

Scones will be in oven and will be ready to take out at 07:00 GMT.

No fighting over who gets what.

Bon appetit

jax Report 2 Sep 2010 17:10

If she asks one more time how can she find out which is the right one....I will Thing is she was Elizabella on marriage and Isabella on all census after her marriage but I cannot find anyone with that name being born and has not been consistant with birth county either.
So I said buy the marriage cert and it should give the fathers name (as long as it was given).
Place of birth is given as Crookhorn- cornwall or somerset,
When I googled that place it was in Hampshire so I dont know

Ask her ....Does the postal service not deliver there then?as the GRO send certs all over the world from their online order site....

jax

jax Report 2 Sep 2010 16:52

Thats like the one I have been doing for a couple of days.
Told her to buy the marriage cert if she wants to go back further...excuse lives in Algeria!!
She will probably be back tonight with some more rubbish an aunt has told her or fiction she has found on someone elses tree.

FannyByGaslight Report 2 Sep 2010 16:52

If you take her given Christian names on Marriage.
Her date of birth that Nan has and so does the person on Ancestry, but different years.
Her age at death and her age on marriage both make her 1877 as does the person on Ancestry.

That is the only reg that I can come up with to fit..plus...that name is not to be found on Deaths or Marriages or census anywhere that I can find.
And I would sooo love to know what the P stands for after Eliza Amy,but like you I am not buying the cert for her to find out either ..!

Hey that ministers a barrel of laughs! Can you imagine his sermons :0

Gee

Gee Report 2 Sep 2010 16:35

Yep fans...I think youre onto something and have told nan so. Its a question of sticking her hand in the old pocket me feels

You cant research without certificates and so many people wont buy them or say they cant buy them due to the cost

Its the name of the game if youre going to do your tree correctly.......I dont mind paying my Ancestry sub and helping people out but Im not buying the bloomin certs an all!

Fans....do you realise that 'plain' flour will flummox JC? She had a terrible time sorting out the flour thing on a thread yonks ago. Likewise measurements. They have some strange ways in Canuckland.

OH is making pancakes as I speak.....mmmmmm

Gins....tooooooo much information just before lunch thank you very much.

Tried to book an online appointment for our annual boiler service. Ended up booking a surveryor for insulation....doh
I did it okay last year so must be going gaga. Made the appointment by phone!
