Gee

Gee Report 23 Nov 2012 17:48

I thought I was going to be pulled over, in charge of a croissant and mobile phone while driving, luckily someone was in front of me, swigging from a bottle of vodka and on his mobile ;-)

Barnsley......love it

Where have you lot been all day?

Gee

Gee Report 23 Nov 2012 08:43

Chris, glad it's not just me then!

It's a bit embarrassing stood in the middle of the shop, everyone listening to the fact your card has been declined :-(

I will check the statement to make sure the transactions 'didnt' go through. Ringing the HSBC is a nightmare.........Indian call centre, language barriers and they have no autonomy to do anything :-|

Sylvs......time to change banks, yes maybe youre right but the problem is, there is not much between any of them

Maybe I'll go to 'The Bank of Dave', but there is a waiting list for that one

Gins

Had that happen to me in Boots.

Transaction went through at the till....Given my receipt and was leaving the shop when the assistant chased me.

Was told the transaction had been declined and I had to pay again!

Now I am an ex Bank Manager so I know how these things work....It cannot be accepted, transaction completed and then declined!

I was treated like a criminal but chose not to make a fuss. Paid by credit card and checked with my bank as soon as I got home.

As I expected.....No reason for the transaction being declined, especially after being accepted.

My Bank had no idea why it had happened but could confirm the transaction hadn't even taken place as far as they were concerned.

time to change banks, methinks

I know people over here will not put up with that kind of thing!

Including me!

Remember ................

Banks are there to serve YOU, not you to serve them.

I'm fomenting revolution :-D :-D :-D :-D

Gee

Gee Report 22 Nov 2012 22:08

My bank in.....

...whom cant understand, or dont have the autonomy?

You will remember my account, of my business account with NW :-(

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 22 Nov 2012 21:57

You could always contact your bank and ask what happened I spose :-S

Off to bed soon.......hope you have a good evening Sylvs.........

I think it's stopped raining :-D :-D

See you tomorrow.......night all.......~~~~

Gee

That's funny Gins......that happened to me a couple of weeks ago and I too, rushed home in fear and trembling. I think it has something to do with the bank 'doing' something on it's system. Very annoying though.... :-|

Had a lovely lunch, came home and then went to get my hair done and yes, I did my Christmas cards whilst I was there - well, I signed them - need to address them now but at least its a start :-D :-D

The threatened rain has arrived - cor, it's miserable out there..........shiver....

Gee

Gee Report 22 Nov 2012 15:28

Ooher.......just had my debit card refused 4 times at the Coop. Three times at two self service points and then again at a till :-S

Another woman also had her card turned down when she was on the next till. Rushed home thinking I had been 'cleared out' by some fraudster

......nope, checked ballance and its as it should be :-S :-0 :-S
