BIG bedroom - BIG jaccuzzi in there too !!

All inclusive and LOTS of 'tiny indigenous peoples' serving you !! (Hubby couldn't cope with that as he is 6ft 4" and said he felt like a paedophile !!! :-( :-( :-( (which OF COURSE HE IS NOT !!!)

The Mayan people are all about 4ft nothing (same as me !!)

It was a lovely resort though, and VERY cheap !!

I have never been to Ireland but I believe it is beautiful !!

However, I think you are probably right about going there in such cold weather - save it for the Spring !!

Dea xxx

P.S. - Re a week away - Canary Islands perhaps ??

Not too far away ! ??

Cancun is a bit further but the weather is quite nice and the sea is beautiful AND you can get luxury accomodation for a third of the price!! ??

(Personally though, I prefer the 'real' Mexico), but for a week - I can take the warm and the luxury !!!

Ive had such an exciting day!

Cut the grass on the back garden, cleared up some dead shrubs and tried to clean the decking

.........does it get any better than that

Anyone got any ideas for a weeks break in Nov, not bothered where we go but no long haul flights.

We were going to Ireland but decided against that as I want to traul through grave yards and dont fancy it, in the cold

Poor Dea....you sound zausted! Grandson sounds hyper-active!! No wonder you are tired.

My grandchildren were just the same....granddaughter was no problem to put to bed but grandson was a nightmare - a poor sleeper :-(

Dea

Dea Report 27 Oct 2012 12:49

Thank you Ginns !!! <3 <3 <3

Yes - they did indeed !!

Grand-daughter is quite good - she sometimes has a wander in to me after she has been put to bed but I give her a cuddle and take her back, maybe lie beside her for a little while and then she goes to sleep !!

Little grandson, however, when he is tired, will NOT do as he is told - he prefers to run around the house playing hide and seek instead of getting his jamas on, then will pull them over his clothes and shoes and dive into bed.

He 'throws a wobbly' when you try to get him sorted and he is physically very strong so it is a hard struggle to get him ready, then he decides to get out of bed every 5 minutes and keep his sister from sleeping, making lots of noise etc., etc.,

I wouldn't care but he is SUCH a sweet and loving child when he is not tired ! :-S :-( :-(

We put them both to bed by 7pm, as instructed, with their stories but it was gone 9pm by the time they were both asleep.

I had bought him a new quilt cover and pillow case with dinasours on it, which he loves, and I remember at one stage thinking "I wish I hadn't bought that as there is no way he will be sleeping under it again" !!! ;-)

Grand-daughter was trying to be good and go to sleep but poor little thing kept getting woken up again !!!

Anyway, - It is all over now! - grand-daughter can come back, grandson MAY be allowed back one day, but it will be a VERY long time before they ever stay overnight together again - I am just SO past being able to cope, even though hubby did most of the hard work !!!

I am going to sip my lovely soup now and have a bit of a rest !

Hope to see you all later,

Gee

Gee Report 27 Oct 2012 08:37

Three times Ive tried to post here and......WHITE OUT :-|

I never knew tonic water was good for cramp, might try that......with lots of Gordons in it ;-)

Thank you for breakfast Sylv, think I'll have the same as Cyns, of course I wont leave most of it down my front, like her!

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 27 Oct 2012 08:29

Good morning Sylvs - mmmmm some warm buttery croissants please.

I'll see what I can do in the morning but its TDA if you know what I mean and am always a touch manic.... ;-)

At least OH had a better night last night. I once remember a good friend telling me about the benefits of a certain brand of tonic water and, that it was good for cramp because it contains quinine.

Late last year, I decided to try OH with it and it worked a treat with his restlessness. He decided to forego it recently - well, the price had gone up!

I gave him a stern lecture yesterday on it's benefits, so he has gone back on it and, hey presto............relief. Some men are just SO difficult at times! :-D

Of course, I'm sure that doesn't apply to our Jonesey as he will be a glowing example of a co-operative, willing and obedient husband.

hahahahahahahahahahaaaa :-D
