Thank you Jonesey <3

Well, that is certainly not going to be a very pleasant 8 weeks for her BUT, as you say, things could have been much worse!!!

At least it now looks as though she will make a complete recovery which certainly is very good news !!!

She will get through it with the love she gets from you and all her family <3 <3 <3

Best wishes to all ,

Dea Xxx

Jonesey

Thank you for letting us know

Not a pleasant 8 weeks for her ................. lying on her back, immobilised.

But, hopefully, it will do the job, and she will fully recover.

Please keep us posted

Love and best wishes to you all.

Morning Bulletin

Just bringing those interested up to speed on my daughters situation.

The neurosurgeons have announced their verdict. As the MRI scan has indicated that there is no spinal cord damage and that her bone density is good they have concluded that no surgery is required. In practical terms this means that her treatment is to continue to remain in hospital, immobilised, lying flat on her back with a neck/chest brace fitted until her vertebrae heal themselves. At her age and in her general condition they think that this should take about 8 weeks. Not a particularly pleasant prospect but if things go to plan she should be home by Christmas.

Things of course could have been much worse, the cord could have been damaged in the accident and she could have ended up a quadriplegic. Things however could have been better, if the driver of the car that hit theirs had been paying proper attention then the accident would not have happened in the first place.

There is never a good time for these things to happen and unfortunately right now is a particularly bad time for her because of the other things going on in her life at the present time. Knowing my daughter however, and the trials and tribulations she has already endured and overcome in her life I am sure that she will take it in her stride.

Thank you all for your interest and concern. <3

I can get to google only by searching for it on Bing ............ the search engine on IE6

Then I can only get into my sites, eg ancestry or GR by googling for them and signing in.

I cannot open Mozilla Firefox at all, without downloading it again.

I'm going to shut everything down, and try again in about an hour!!

Gee

Gee Report 24 Oct 2012 19:03
