Thanks for the update Jonesey %26lt%3B3

At least she is getting closer to some sort of decision on her treatment ! - It must be really terrible for you all having to wait so long. Especially for her as she is unable to move around or do anything !

We are all wishing her well and look forward to some better news from you soon.

Dea Xxx

P.S. to Cynthia.....

Glad your OH found the meeting helpful this morning - you are right about the pedometer - he is just afraid of the competition %3B-%29 %3A-%29 %3A-%29

Thanks for letting us know dear Jonesey.

To be honest, I would think she is more than a bit depressed - more like - very depressed. It must be awful just lying there and waiting to hear what the treatment is going to be and when it will begin %3A-%28

Is she able to use an ipod to help take her mind off things a bit?

When something like this happens, the whole family is affected and everyone will be suffering in some way or other and the waiting for news is just dire - I've paced a few hospital waiting rooms myself %3A-%29

Hopefully, the treatment will begin soon and she can start her journey to recovery %3A-D

OH saw his Health Trainer this morning. His meds hadn't quite kicked in so he was a bit 'slow' to begin with but came round during our time there. He has declined the use of a pedometer - obviously he couldn't stand the competition from myself....... %3A-D

All in all, he found it useful and informative - so that was worthwhile %3A-D %3A-D

Just a quick update.

My daughter had an MRI scan yesterday which revealed a fracture in her cervical vertebrae C5 as well as the fracture in vertebrae C6 which was already known about. Apparently copies of the MRI scan have now been sent to neurosurgeons at the nearest University hospital and it will be for them to decide on the most appropriate form of treatment. She hopes to hear something from them today.

On a more positive note she has now been fitted with a more comfortable neck brace and has been allowed to have her bed raised a few degrees from the horizontal which makes eating/drinking a little easier for her. Understandably she is getting frustrated and a bit depressed by her inability to do much and the delay in starting whatever treatment is going to be necessary to return her to health.

Me too Cynths..................... %26lt%3B3 %26lt%3B3 %26lt%3B3 Jonesey !

It's not so much the car parks Cynthia it is the ability to park near to a shop I want to visit, on the double yellow lines without having to drag myself all the way from the car park and back, which is pretty much a waste of effort anyway as if I buy anything, I can't carry it . %3A-%29
