I is here Dea.......I've sent Jonesey a pm. :)

Busy, busy, day until about 3pm and then it was chillax time. I sat outside in the sunshine with some ice cream and really enjoyed it. It was almost like summer. :-D

OH decided he wanted to go for a walk this afternoon to see how the renovation work on a local bridge was going on. I can watch his progress across the field and we have a system whereby he stops and I wave to him - either from the bedroom window or by standing on the garden bench.

What makes me laugh is, the country lane to the bridge is closed except for access to the single row of houses. The number of cars which ignore the closed/diversion sign is incredible - I can see them from my kitchen window. They drive stubbornly on and then, you see their brake lights as they reverse into a small opening between the fields. Silly people!

Dea, you have gone back to normal? What's it like? I haven't been normal for yonks...... :-D :-D :-D

Just a brief update:

My wife has been to see our daughter in hospital. She has a neck and spinal brace fitted to prevent any further damage being caused and is restricted to lying flat on her bed. Fortunately there are no signs that her spinal cord has been damaged in any way so in that respect everything seems OK. She is still awaiting a visit from the neurosurgeon but with this being the weekend that may not now happen until tomorrow. Following that visit I should know more and will keep you informed.

Thank you for your concern.

Kids, who would have them.

Just had rather a disturbing phone call from my daughter.

She is in hospital with a fractured vertebrae in her neck. Apparently whilst taking her daughter back to university yesterday evening their car which was stationary at red traffic lights was hit from behind by another car. My daughter appears to have come off worst as fortunately my granddaughter and her father appear only to have received soft tissue whiplash injuries.

My daughter is currently flat on her back in a hospital bed awaiting a visit by the neurosurgeon to assess the full extent of her injuries and decide upon the best course of treatment.

Last week one of her dogs was hit by a car fracturing its pelvis, this week my daughter was hit by a car. One dreads to think whose turn it will be next.

Thank you Sylvs........just a quick breakfast because ITDA!

I hope I am in time to manage some creme brulee before the hordes descend

It's interesting to read the stories of others regarding private education.

It just indicates that those who experience it, can come from all walks of life.
