Luckily, he and two others work mates had just parted and they heard the commotion and ran back to help

........I hate to think what might have happened, if they hadn’t

If you like your hairdresser and think she does a good job Sylvs, it would be worth paying her to come out to see you wouldn't it?

Mind you, you may be like me and enjoy going to the salon!

off to have my hair cut


made the appointment this morning ............. and she phoned me back about an hour later to tell me she was leaving in 2 weeks. :-0

The owner apparently will be there when I have my appointment so "I cannot tell you about it. I will give you my phone number and you can phone me, and I will tell you what arrangements we can make"


sooooooooooo ....... I'm also losing my local hairdresser!


as well as the bookstore/coffee shop, and the Safeway!

Our government says that our passport photos have to be taken full face to the camera, without glasses, and not smiling.

In addition, you have to look at a point about 3' above the camera operator



the results are HORRID!!


I looked at OH's passport last night (to see his China visa)................. and he looks haggard and terrible.



I really cannot understand why you have to not wear glasses, if you always wear glasses :-S :-S

You hav'nt offended me Gins...Just like Cyn has said, why use a space just because I can?

In the past I could walk from the back of the car and get in the passengers side easily....now I cant, so maybe now is the time rather than scratch someones car with my door....if money was really tight then saving £3 a time at the hospital would also help...but its no real problem if it is only every now and again

My BIL got a pedigree labrador about 9 months ago.....'Buttons' is at the vets, week on week and now, although only a year or so old, has arthritis :-0

The next vets fee is £3K

I don 't think you have offended anyone Ginns - It's just that you get a different perspctive when you are on the other end of these things !!!

OH has been entitled to one for years because of his heart condition and now his Parkinson's - but we haven't got one as yet!


Whilst he can still walk we have decided not to apply just yet and, there are other people who need to use them more than we do. However, I realise that the time will come when we will need to apply because we can't manage the walking involved to get places.


I hate those photos too Dea......take comfort in the fact that we all look as though we have just escaped from Alcatraz!!



Picked up the grandchildren and it was lovely to see them. My granddaughter is still pestering her dad about getting a dog for Christmas....however, he is not to be persuaded.....................................yet :-D :-D
