Arrgghhh.....I've spent ages trying to find out why I was not receiving email from a friend who said he'd sent them!

Looked at the help bit...........useless

Ended up Googling and found the answer.

I'd inadvertently blocked him..... :-S :-S :-S

Normal service is now resumed.

Gins....although I've glanced at them in the past, this is the first time I have actually sat and read them. Life was always so hectic and they were just packed away. SO glad I got them out now......

Have ordered a new fridge online....first time I've ever bought a 'white' product this way. As my OH said, "It's so easy to spend money this way". Of course, it helps if you've got some money to spend in the first place and fortunately, it's something we knew we had to get soon. . :-S

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 12 Oct 2012 15:05

HI Joy.....

Gins. They are intermittent - sort of 1934-38 then c1942 - then into the 60's and 70's. Sadly, they aren't a complete set but, given the war scenario, some may have been lost and then, during the latter part of his life, he was caring for my mum who had MS. He died in 1976.

There are all the names of the people he visited and any services he conducted. Bet the descendants would be quite interested. :-D

Thank you for breakfast Sylvs......porridge please.

Hope all goes well with OH and that you manage to stay responsible all day!!

Have enjoyed reading my dad's diaries so much, I think I am going to copy them out so that they don't have to be 'over-handled'. I feel they contain so much detail that our future family generations may well be interested. :-)
