Good morning and thank you Sylvs :-D :-D :-D

I have thoughts about white and dark meat as well as other cuts. I won't even mention what we are having for our evening meal. Will keep these thoughts to myself as we have some sensitive folk around.... ;-)

Gins, do you think that turkeys all go round looking like Jemima Puddleduck :-S

Off to the dentist this morning - grandchildren this afternoon!

Back later ~~~~~

Dea

the turkey was delicious

but I got it wrong ................

it was half a turkey breast from neck to t'other end, not half a turkey.

No leg or wing .................. so no dark meat

and I love dark meat :((((

However, turkey sandwiches with white meat will be just fine for the next few days :))))

A 4 1/2 lb Turkey Sylvs !! - Surely that would be a 'chicken' ????

OOOhh - I see it is a 'Turkey half' - even so, that is a bit of a 'tiddler' ???

Sounds good enough to eat Sylvs..........Happy Thanksgiving <3

Little ones are so funny when they babble away aren't they? We nod, shake our heads, go 'oooooooh' and make funny faces. Must be hard to do all that over the phone.... :-D

SylviaInCanada Report 8 Oct 2012 20:32

J phoned early this morning ...........

in fact we were still asleep!!

First person on the line was the tiddlie ......... long chat to OH, then had to speak to me. Long discussion.

Wish I knew what he said :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Now know what they are all getting for Christmas from us. Only have to go to one shop ................. looking for Duplo for tiddlie. Rest is already bought, order online, or give a cheque.

Don't laugh ............. OH has an eye op on Friday. Goes to China on Nov 6 for about 10 days. We leave on the train on Dec 11

so there isn't actually too much time for shopping, when all normal "doings" are included!

Very lucky indeed Cynths !!! - I wish I had something so very 'personal' like that !!

Been very busy today - grandson after Nursery (OOOppps I originally typed 'very busty !!! - That's just not me at all!!!) ;-) :-D :-D

I have spent at least 4 hours today filling in a form online to apply for a blue badge and I still haven't completed it !!!

It's no wonder people get 'put off' ! :-(

Cynthia

Hello Wall :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

Had a nice time with friends and actually got OH to go out to lunch at a restaurant.... :-D :-D

Have glanced at some of my dad's 'diaries' and am quite captivated. He talks of where he has been/done/seen/heard......even to the point of

"Sirens about 3.10. Heard fly bomb crash. Bombers out at midnight."

Followed immediately by

"Caught 8.15 bus to Oxford."

Life went on I guess.

A little further down, whilst on a train...

"In a non-smoker and requested two ladies to refrain. Is it worth it?"

Maybe he had an earful from the two 'ladies' ...... ;-)

If you can't find me, you know I'll be reading the rest....... :-D

Gee

Gee Report 8 Oct 2012 18:12

Have you all had a good day?

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 8 Oct 2012 07:58

Good morning Sylvs - looks like I am first down........

Thank you for breakfast - it's a porridge morning for me.

I don't think you will find any turkey leftovers. I saw Dea enjoying a sandwich late last night. She said she had the 'munchies'. :-D

Will have to go and get tidied up as we have visitors today.....~~~
