Welcome back Sylvs and thanks for the breakfast. I'm spoilt for choice again.....decisions, decisions.... :-D

I think that's what I will do about my windows Sylvs. I don't think there's anything wrong with the frames to be honest - at least I hope not... :-S

I am still sorting through photos they never seem to end. I really must finish soon as my dining room table resembles a photography shop....... :-0

Ironing, lunch and haircut today. Nothing too strenuous so I will just potter around. Later~~~~

I picked up a little free local advertising/newspaper in the coffee shop while we were up north ........

...... it is Thanksgiving in Canada this coming Monday, and they had printed recipes for common foods at Thanksgiving, as recommended by the Kindergarten Class (ages 5 to 6). I thought you might enjoy them.

Turkey ............. you buy the turkey and take the paper off it. Then you put it in the refrigerator and take it back out and cut it with a knife and make sure all the wires are out and take out the neck and heart. Then you put it in a big pan and cook it for half an hour at 80 degrees. Then you invite people over and eat.

Chicken Pie ............... Put the chicken in the pot and put the salad and cheese and mustard and then you mix it all together. Then put chicken sauce and stir it all around again. Then you cook it for 5 minutes at 9 degrees. Then you eat it.

Pumpkin Pie ............. First you put pumpkin seeds in it. Put it in a pan and bake it at 5 degrees for 6 minutes. Then take it out and eat it.

Deer Jerky (a dried meat) ....... Put it in the oven overnight at 20 degrees. Then you go hunting and bring it with you. Then you eat it.

:-D :-D :-D :-D

Dea Report 4 Oct 2012 21:09

Did I spell it wrong again Cynths !??? :-D

Anyway - It was REALLY good !!!

Re the double glazing - I have tried several Company's and they all wanted me to have new windows !!! £10 ,000- £12,000 or more !!

I only wanted new glass, not new frames!

There is nothing wrong with my UPVC window frames so I just wanted the glass !

Have just found somneone who will do that for less than £1.000 - The man is coming next week !!

"How can you not" what Ginns ???

I meant if you used one of these packet sauces or the jars !!!

Anyway - this one was 'buddy gorgeous - my best one ever " !!!!!

At least 5 or 6 lots to put in the freezer to enjoy again later !!

How is it that when the recipe says "1 clove of garlic" I put in about 1 BULB of garlic and it tastes 'just right' ???

Dea Xxx

Gee

Gee Report 4 Oct 2012 18:29

Bolognaise sauce is just as good after freezing as it is cooked from fresh as long as it has been cooked from fresh in the first place

How can you not?

:-S :-S :-S :-S

Dea

Dea Report 4 Oct 2012 17:17

Ginns - there is no point cooking for one meal when you can cook for 5 or 6 and put them in the freezer !!

Bolognaise sauce is just as good after freezing as it is cooked from fresh as long as it has been cooked from fresh in the first place !! ;-)

SO good to hear about your 'once poorly' friend Cynths - she is doing better than me nowadays :-D
