HID has been out of work for almost 10 months and has applied for about 120 jobs.

Today he see's one that is local but it was an agency 25 miles away so he drives down there to sign up.

While he was in there a man with very little command of the English language comes in looking for a day time hgv job...it turns out this man works nights driving and he also wanted a day job as he needs to feed his family.....not only was he greedy wanting two full time jobs...but buddy stupid to think he could put peoples lives at risk from falling asleep at the wheel

Thank you for breakfast Sylvs. :-D

It sounds a very entertaining evening all round. I love art galleries but rarely get the chance to go now. Do you remember the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool?

Had a nice evening out ............... it was a cocktail-y type thing, that we go to every year.

The company that gives it chooses a venue in town, takes it over for the evening, and there are free drinks, and finger food. The venue also usually has some feature to it ......... tonight it was at the city Art Gallery, where the major current exhibition is Matisse. So they had arranged for regular tours to be given for us to take, for free.

It all makes for an entertaining evening, and we usually meet some interesting people.

Tonight, we met the man who, as a 2nd year university student, wrote the very first computer programme that we used at the Botanical Garden to keep track of all our plants! That was back in 1970/71 :-0

We used that same programme for about the next 20 years, in various "improved" versions, before finally having a brand new programme written!
