Not quite at the base of Everest yet Linds.......got sidetracked into going to Dunelm Mill to look at pillows for OH.

Honestly, we must have spent a fortune on the things over the years.....there's nothing wrong with the pillows.....it's HIM!!! sigh...

I looked at the Violet Clegg thread - am almost tempted to send the person who responded a note on how to come back.........maybe she's a 'medium' .... whereas.....

I'm a 'large'......hahahahahaha

It's going dark so early now............ :-(

Gins

there was another thread RR'd overnight .......

.................... asking if anyone could find a person born in 1850 in any census after the 1851

That has also been reinstated ...... but only after really upsetting the thread owner.

I loved the Violet Clegg one!!!!!

I have spent all afternoon trying to put my FT into order.

When I started I was so interested in finding the next rellie I didn't keep my stuff in any order .

Now I have piles of stuff to go through and I have got "the bug" again all I want to do is tie up the missing links :-(

BUT I am being good and working through it all slowly :-)

Linda

Linda Report 10 Sep 2012 19:34

Little one insisted on talking to OH and I today when we were on the phone with the daughter ...................

very voluble

I only wish we knew what he was saying!!!

J said she thought he was telling us about the photo of us that they have on display, and that he points to every night. But even she wasn't sure! :-D :-D :-D :-D

I'm late getting here ....................

I spent most of the morning booking a hotel for our last night in Halifax in December ........... it's the "railway" hotel. Got a lovely room, at a cheaper rate for booking very early .................... and it will be a bit more relaxed the next morning.

Just need to shower, eat breakfast and pack without worrying about bathrooms and bridges ........... then walk through the passage way into the train station and check our bags.

There is a nice coffee shop where daughter etc can meet us if they wish.

I also spent time playing about re changing the booking on one leg of the train trip ....................... decided finally it wasn't worth the $25 re-booking charge per ticket!!

OH grows Broad Beans, and got a good crop this year.

But he grows "special" ones .................... bred over a period of about 15 years to have the longest possible pods by a guy we knew .

The guy died about 3 years ago, but OH got 1 pod from him before he died, and then another pod from our favourite restaurant owner.

Now OH is trying to keep the big podded variety going.

I think the pods were all 9 to 12" long, and had 8 or 9 large beans inside

I don't like Broad Beans

We blanched and froze them yesterday ........... in individual little packages of 6

There are about 31 packages in the freezer :-0

OH has to eat them over the winter :-D :-D :-D :-D
