Morning everyone. Not a very good one here - it's very damp and grey outside. Mind you, it isn't cold so that's something.
Thank you for breakfast and brunch Sylvs.......I'll start with porridge and see how things go :-D
Laines - I know just what you mean with your filing etc. It is SO easy to get side-tracked with photos and letters and........etc., etc., ;-)
I'll send a pm to Valerie to try and help her out.
Back later ~~~~~

It's a Canadian "invention" .................. and was originally called Murder Ball.
it's more like Demolition Derby with wheelchairs :-D :-D :-D

The Paralympic Training Centre for it is in Leeds ............... and I think the events will also be there.

Hello all, While OH was at footie I got peace to go through my FT paperwork. Pleased that I am making some progress totally depressed at the amount of stuff I have to go through.
All my own fault for not filing as I went along hey ho
OH an I went out for a meal and to see the Batman movie got home about an hour ago.
Might be going out for lunch (Sunday) with my siblings not met up for a few weeks waiting on one to confirm .
Then on Monday am meeting my Mums cousins son (is that my 2nd cousin I cant work it out) who is home from NYC to visit with his Mum .
He has asked me to bring what I have so far on his side of the FT.
Only problem is I haven't touched that side sincejust after I started my research as I have been concentrating on another line.
So had to spend a couple of hours looking stuff out but did find a good bit for him :-)
The problem with looking through everything is that you get distracted looking at things I did find old pics that I had filed safely in among my paperwork - and then forgotten about ;-)
Am orf to bed now to read nite nite

Had quite a nice afternoon today. Picked up daughter - who was actually prompt for a change - and then went to our favourite coffee shop. Just as we were about to leave, a couple of friends came in so we stopped to chat with them. <3
Have just watched some of the paralymics - those athletes are just incredible. I had never realised that people without arms could swim like that.....fantastic!
Sounds like Gins is entertaining again doesn't it Dea??? :-S

Thanks Jonesey, I know you're right.
It's the storage space I'm short of and must have about 8 large albums plus an underbed type box where I store the larger photos in plastic wallets.
They are in chronological order - as far as I can make it, and are mostly named.
I think the answer is to go through them again and remove those which are duplicated, poor quality or of no consequence to anyone - odd views etc.
Maybe a job for when the bad weather arrives methinks!!
Joy? Where's you orf to then??? :-S

Cyn,
If you have the storage room I would leave your photographs exactly as they are, in albums. That way the photographs will remain, protected and possibly in some logical or chronological order.
If you remove the photo's and do what a lot of people do, I.E. store them in a box or old biscuit tin they almost certainly will end up dog-eared, damaged, disordered and rarely looked at. If stored in that manner when you or your descendants look at them in the future a lot of time is likely to be spent wondering who or what the photo's subject is or bemoaning the fact that a crease or scratch has ruined the only photograph of someone important to you.
