I prefer NYD too! I do stuff that I like doing - reading, playing on internet etc etc - start the way you mean to go on I say!!! I agree with you - blank canvas.

Good lord - no I dont clean! - my house is only properly cleaned about 4 times a year [Christmas being one of them] when it is either a special occasion or family are coming round for a get together! I HATE cleaning!

And .... what is the kissing folk you dont know when you go out NY Eve???? Why would you want to??? lol

OOhhh forget that MC - I have 'muck' in my house up to the elbows!!

Can't clean nowadays (haven't been able to for about 3 years now so you can just guess what it looks like ! ;-) :-(

Have just helped meself to some of nearly everything from Sylvia's dinner.

Just the job, as Mr C and I don't like going out NYE.

Prefer New Year's Day - blank canvas, clean slate that sort of thing.

Is it just me, or do others go mad cleaning the house so there's no old muck carried into the next year?

Daughter has gone to her brother's for NYE - we will just go to bed at about 10.30pm. I guess.

Yes it was all in one day.

I would have loved ice skating at one time but it would be foolish for me now.
I watched the others though.
Grand daughter had one of the penguins to help her.
Sat in the coffee bar to give his presents.
Not ideal but the best we could do this year.

Sylvs is about 8 hours behind us Gins - when our NY strikes, it's only 4pm on NYE for her.
