Good morning......yaaaaaaaaawn.

No fish thank you.................................ewww...... but I do rather fancy French toast on the barbie????????

I used to disguise pills for my dogs by wrapping them in something tasty.

Not sure what I am up to today.....no doubt time will tell

I have not had swordfish, but have had Marlin... we get them up North... my cousin catches them quite a lot.

Blackened bluefish.. I have seen that cooked cajun style,,,

I think I have had mahi mahi...

I love fish so would give just about anything a go. We have lovely trout fishing rivers here but you cannot buy it in the shops.. only served in restaurants or if a friend has caught one.

I wished I tried turtle steak when I was in Florida as that would be something that one would not see on a menu anymore.

Kangaroo steaks are ok Dea...

I believe times are hard and Mrs Claus served Santa venison for Christmas dinner... ;-)

You won't regret it....

Paua is more or less the same as Abalone.

First time I tried my kids on paua fritters (they look green) they said oh mum yuk silverbeet fritters...

They knew I had ways of getting them to eat all sorts of things by disguising them.

Perse,

I have eaten some exotic fish dishes in my time, Blackened Bluefish, Broiled Mahi Mahi with Pecan, Barbecued Swordfish but never Beer battered Tarakihi with Paua fritters so I'll give that a go.

Gurnard is fish... I prefer it to snapper...

I thought you were asleep on the couch Jonesey... how dare you want to eat our sacred parrot.. I think they would be a bit tough, my father said kiwi was.

I can do you smoked kahwai and chips.. or beer batter a nice fillet of tarakihi and you can have that with some toheroa and paua fritters.

Some people want to farm weka ( we have enough of them) and they are apparently like pheasant... they have that gamey taste.

Well was going to slap some kangaroo steaks on the barbie but thought that would have poor Dea jumping around and do not want her losing her breath.

So on the barbie we have chicken kebabs, bacon, tomatoes, aspargus spears, mushrooms, sausages, gurnard, minute steaks and lamb cutlets. Scrambled eggs are hot in the warmer and there is Ostrich pie. I can also fry eggs or make french toast on the barbie...

There is salsa, guacamole, mayonnaise, tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, worcestershire sauce, french dressing, tartare sauce, tzatziki and onion marmalade.

In the bread warmer there are hot croissants, spinach and feta pastries, cinnamon pinwheel scones, lemon and walnut muffins and tamarillo and marscapone muffins along with assorted breads including gluten-free and pizza bread.

There is toasted raisin bread chocolate melt sandwiches dusted with icing sugar. Pain au chocolat, sultana scrolls, mini rocky road cup cakes and chocolate pretzels.

Turkish coffee with turkish delight or baklavas.

Juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate with chocolate marshmallow fish, and raspberry smoothies.

Usual spreads and cereals in cupboard... trim milk, cream, whipped cream, homogenised or full cream milk and soya milk available in fridge where there are small tubs of assorted yoghurts.

Cheese board, mushroom pate, grapes and blueberries.
