Well! So much for Gins and her historical knowledge :-S :-S :-S

Mafeking was only the most famous British action in the second Boer War! "Mafeking has been relieved" is a very old and famous quotation.

shakes head in despair.

Hey Fans.....the kids could have an outdoor picnic if the weather is going to be mild :-D :-D

Just finishing a very long 4 day stint working and today is late night. Most places are saying they are very quiet but we have been rushed off our feet. emergrncies, repairs and walk in dispensings, collections and bookings ordering and a huge pile of checking. I am finished after tonight so can now start my Xmas shopping. I have not managed a single card or anything yet. At the moment I could sleep for a week. :-) :-) :-)

Dea

Dea Report 22 Dec 2011 20:10

I hope he doesnt get the whooping cough as he has asthma :-0

Dea

Dea Report 22 Dec 2011 19:50

I am sure he will Ginns - he is very resiliant !

But, It does scare me when he does get ill as it is most unusual for him and as my health is quite poor nowadays, I rely upon him to be the 'strong one' !!

Glad you had a good trip Cynths!.

Hubby is a little better now - I have just cooked him a very light omelette.

I expect he will be fine in the morning!!

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 22 Dec 2011 18:37

Hope he feels better soon Dea....I'm sure you're a good nurse :-D Sounds like he needs one of those fleecy blankets to wrap round himself. They're very cuddly - OH has one.

Don't think I need anything else now - except for OH's wine. They had run out in Tesco's last night - will pop in again when I've taken daughter home. Heaven forbid we should run out of wine........lol - I don't drink it so it doesn't bother me any.............. :-D :-D :-D

Town was packed this afternoon but, as I wasn't in a rush for anything, it was fine to just wander round waiting for daughter to get what she needed.
