My previous freezers have been frost free but when I got this one it was the only one I liked and they didnt do it in frost free

Might get a new one soon as the fridge still thinks its a freezer from time to time

Changing your payment cardIt is not possible to update your credit or debit card prior to your renewal payment being automatically taken.

However, your auto-renewal payment is taken from whichever card you last paid to subscribe with. If your renewal is due in the next couple of weeks and you can see the subscribe link on your homepage then you can click on this and scroll down to the payment section (ignoring the One Click payment section) and enter the details for your new card in the payment boxes. Ive done that and it said I am now a standard member......so Im none the wiser as to have I paid twice...am I a new member, did I get a discount?????

Dea, my grandchildren finished school last Friday! My son finishes work tomorrow so it seems that they were stuck today. It's horrible weather too....so I think it will be a quick visit to ye olde Tesco's and back home to watch a Christmassy dvd.

MInd you, they have the ipads I told you about so that keeps them occupied for ages but I do like them to come off them sometimes :-S

oh, in case you're wondering

2 passengers and 1 crew member were slightly injured.

The ferry we are supposed to take on Thursday had a "hard" landing today :-0

As a result, the berth at the terminal is "significantly damaged", and is closed for a period of time. The ship's port side doors damaged (ie, where the cars exit).

That terminal only has one berth ................. so the whole terminal is closed. The ferry is undergoing repairs.

There is another ferry terminal in that town ............... and for tomorrow all sailings that should go to the damaged one will be going to the other one ......... and who knows about Thursday?


We do have reservations, so have assured boarding ......... but any replacement ferry will be smaller than the damaged one.

I think we will be going out to the ferry terminal even earlier than we had planned!


I would guess that whoever was in charge might be in a spot of trouble ....... unless it was some sort of engine trouble.


But ....... just 2 days before the busiest weekend of the year for the ferries!

Well I hope you sing loudly Sylvs........you would have thought that everyone knew the words by now :-D :-D



Must go to bed before my eyelids fall onto my laptop. Have the grandchildren all day tomorrow.....better prepare myself.


Night all.

I changed my avatar to this church because one of the best things about going north to stay with my sis-i-l, is attending 6 pm Christmas Eve service here.

It has seating for about 30 or 40 people .......... but more than 100 will cram in to the church, the entrance way, and standing outside in the snow, on Christmas Eve.

It has always snowed, and often IS snowing.

It's always a traditional Christmas Carol Service ......... but the absence of electricity means that lighting is by lanterns on the window sills ......... used to be candles but Fire Safety rules have prevailed :-( :-( :-P. People have small torches so they can read the words

................. and the wood stove roars away.


It is quite magical .............. and a reminder how the pioneers lived in this country less than 100 years ago.




It's the only time I go to church, apart from "hatchings, matchings and despatchings"
