You are probably right Ginns!

I bought one of those 'little' bottles of red wine yesterday and put some into the liver pate which I was making - there was about half a glass left which I duly 'finished off'.................... It really does not mix !!!

Dea, you know you should not mix those meds with wine old girl ;-)

LK, I would have to get a birth certificate for your guys child. Have you checked if the daughter ever married and found out when the father died?

Good morning all !

You were right Sylvs - I have just read back and yes I was "having a conversation in a parallel universe" wasn't I??

Have been doing way too much over the past few days trying to prepare for Xmas and consequently have been taking FAR too much medication - It looks like it all 'kicked in' at once :-D :-D :-D

It's a good job I took myself off to bed !

Had a good sleep though, for once, and I'm ready for that lovely breakfast now.........................

Going to be a good girl today and not 'overdo' things but I MUST write my Christmas cards and get them posted or they will never arrive on time!

See you all later.

it doesn't sound good at all!

The daughter is listed as wife married 5 years 1child still living so does not look good. And there is a possible second child.

jax

jax Report 20 Dec 2011 00:50

That does sound nasty LK, but it could be quite innocent unless the childrens birth certs name him as the father

Finished todays home visits and absolutely shattered.

I have been working on descendants of my GG Grandfather's brother as part of a one name study and found some disturbing things. Have this guy through to 1901 with his wife. She dies in 1906. Found him in 1911 with a new wife but no marriage found. Then realise she has exactly the same details as this guys daughter and possibly 2 children. That will need to be treated with sensitivity if a descendant turns up.

Hi renes <3

I had a friend who had the same under her stairs, although we had a huge cuboard under our stairs at the last house (only thing that was huge) there was no way you could stand up.

Cyn

OH's parents had a loo with small washbasin fitted under the stairs to the top floor.

It was just outside the kitchen, so was great if you were outside and needed a quick visit ....... didn't have to take off muddy shoes!

The wash basin was one of the smallest I have ever seen! And people over a certain height had to be careful about hitting their head as the loo was tucked into the lowest part of the area.

But it was a very efficient use of what is so often just a glory hole cupboard!

I know there are lots of things around to help make life easier .......... somehow I've got on to rhe mailing list of a company that has a lot of such things.

It's amazing, seeing some of the aids to make life easier ................ electrically operated "seats' or chairs that push you into an upright position, for example!

Cynthia Report 19 Dec 2011 21:35

That is a shame jax as there must be some improvements which would help your situation. I wish we had a downstairs loo but it seems as though we don't have enough space. Luckily, OH is not too bad on the stairs at the mo. This getting old business sure ain't funny. :-(

I cannot get in the bath nor stand to have a shower so I have a fixed bath board which I sit on, then put left leg over then drag the usless one over.

We are lucky in this house the taps are in the middle of the bath with a shower attachment, there is also an electric shower at the end which HID uses.

We got a letter the other day asking if we want to renew our lease for another year so feel happy about that but cannot do any adaptions which is a shame.
