Gins, I ain't even going to answer your question about carols.....just to say that it was all very worthwhile and enjoyable :-P

I think our supermarkets have to close at 4pm here Sylvs. Not sure about other shops to be honest.

I don't shop on a Sunday I have to admit. I will buy things like ice cream and coffee as relaxation but wouldn't dream of a general big shop unless it was absolutely unavoidable........I have always planned ahead to try and make sure I have everything I want by Saturday. .Sundays are still special for me. :-D

Despite them being special they are still manically busy at times....like today. Must get some beauty sleep before I fall out of my chair. :-D Night all. <3

We were astounded yesterday

when I was returning those tops yesterday, a store announcement came over the tannoy ...............

the department store was going to be open until 11:00 pm last night ................... and to 9:00 pm tonight. On Christmas Eve, they will open at 8 am (instead of the usual 9:00 or 9:30 am), and close at 5:00 pm. They're closed on Christmas Day, then open at 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on Boxing Day

The rest of the Mall was going to be open until 9 pm (the store I was in also has an entrance direct from the outside) every night until Christmas Eve, when they will close at 5:00 pm.

I still don't like shopping on Sunday, although we have had Sunday shopping for many years. It's usually 9 or 10 am until 6 pm

............... but the grocery stores such as Safeway are open from 7 or 8 am to midnight every day of the week .... some are open 24 hours. The Pharmacy in our local Safeway is open from about 9 am until 8 or 9 pm.

I am getting confused now!!

Can't quite read this - is it chinese??

"and Hossana in hsi jim jams"

"Dea, its a tablet, it does all the same things as a pc and more"

I have several tablets every day but I just have to swallow them with lots of water ;-) :-D :-D

I 'think' I understood Cynthias explanation a little better - It is a camera, a phone, a computer and a scype (skipe ??) thingy all rolled into one and tucked into a 'little thingy' that you have to work with a touch screen ???

Anyway - I am sure that JB will LOVE it !!!

Re the meals

I can do Thursday breakfast, as we'll still be here on Wednesday night

but we leave Thursday morning, and don't get back until the following Tuesday, so may be someone could do that next day's breakfast, in case we get held up.

Cynthia Report 18 Dec 2011 21:01

My grandchildren's school runs a scheme where parents can pay monthly for their children's ipad and it is used for both schoolwork and for pleasure. They are amazing Dea.......touch screen with all sorts of features from camera to books to games to knowledge to animation.....fantastic - much as I would love one, it's way out of our league I'm afraid.

Jax, there is a built in touchscreen keyboard I think but don't know about c & p.

Such a busy day today............,........I'm all carolled out......... :-) :-)

For my sons birthday I bought him an iPod. For my daughters birthday I bought her an iPhone and on my birthday I recieved an iPad.

Thinking along the same lines I bought my wife an iRon for her birthday - and thats where it all went horribly wrong.

How about this

Gallstones are lumps or stones that develop in the gallbladder or bile duct. Some of the chemicals which exist in the gallbladder, such as cholesterol, calcium bilirubinate, and calcium carbonate, harden into either one large stone or many small ones. According to Medilexicon's medical dictionary, a gallstone is "A concretion in the gallbladder or a bile duct, composed chiefly of a mixture of cholesterol, calcium bilirubinate, and calcium carbonate, occasionally as a pure stone composed of just one of these substances". An article describes a gallbladder in the bile duct similar to trying to squeeze a golf ball through a straw.

edit

The majority of people with gallstones have no symptoms at all. This is because the stones generally stay in the gallbladder and cause no problems. Sometimes, however, gallstones may lead to cholecystitis (inflamed gallbladder). Symptoms of gallbladder inflammation include:
Pain on the right-hand side of the body, just below the ribs
Back pain
Pain in the right shoulder
Nausea
Vomiting
Sweating
Restlessness

I also looked at this

http://womenshealth.about.com/cs/gallbladder/a/causesgallstnes.htm

where quite a few of the reasons could be why I got them

I had lost a fair bit of weight...well not many people could say they weighed less after having a baby then when they fell pregnant

What causes gallstones?

My sister kept her when she had them removed, they looked like tiny green/grey cones.......amazing I thought..aged 10!
