A 'little tip' for you all which you might like to explore...................

I have just received my documents for my Home Buildings and Contents Insurance. We have an excellent policy which we have had now for a few years with the same Company.

It was originally taken out in 'my' name but last year we looked around again because it had become quite expensive and my husband did the searching using his name. We discovered that the same policy, in 'his' name was quite a lot cheaper so we took it out in 'his' name.

This year, we did the same and by taking it out , now back in 'my' name, we saved around £140. !!

This is the same policy with the same Company - everything identical except the change of name !!!!!!!!!!

Stupid, or what????

You might like to try it on yours? ;-)

Late start today as we were all up rather late last night and couldnt get rid of Marky Mark no matter how much we hinted. He went eventually, sliding down the drive on his bum!

Getting sorted to head off the Wales.....hope the Snake Pass is open and ice free :-0

( Shhhhhh, actually Dea, Persie may think of nice young men with ripply muscles but, in reality, the nearest she is going to get is older men who need ironing!) ;-)

Good morning one and all.........I've decided on that cheesy sausage egg bake thingey - it was sooooo good last time. Thank you Sylvs - you do spoil us.

I think Persie is right about shopping malls. People go there because they want to get out of the house but don't know where to go. I do this myself with OH sometimes. He needs to get regular exercise but, if the weather is awful, I drag him to the supermarket and urge him to go round all the aisles......ain't I cruel??? :-D

My grandchildren have been quite easy to shop for this year. They came out with me and chose their own presents! I gave them a limit and they were very good about sticking to it. I will slip a couple of 'surprises' in for them though.

My granddaughter is one of the most selfless people it has been my pleasure to know. She really doesn't have a selfish bone in her body. She is kind, willing and amenable.....but......she hasn't quite hit puberty yet :-S

It seems quite calm here this morning and not too cold either. Must make the most of it.

Hope our missing friends are okay.............

You are becoming quite obsessed with 'ripply muscles' just recently Persie! - Is there anything you would like to tell us?? ;-)

I had a lovely bacon buttie on the way back from Rotorua on Thursday,,, we have a place called Pokeno and Pokeno Bacon is lovely and the sandwich was absolutely chokka with bacon.. it was scrummy...

I would be happy with a bacon buttie Christmas Lunch ... a lot of Kiwis have a BBQ... lunch on Christmas day. Then I would have blueberries and strawberries and raspberries and blackberries and cream or maybe yoghurt. One year I made a Mississippi Chocolate Mud Pie for Christmas evening meal when I had everyone around.. what a performance making it, I burnt out my electric beater ... but it was successful and was delicious.

I can walk to our mall Sylvs but it is too far to carry lots of stuff back and what I bought today would be too awkward on the bus... I would have needed a couple of ripply muscled page boys... to help me. ;-)

Pxx :-)

That's one very spoilt little girl, I think!

I dread to think what she will be like when she is 15!

I shall be venturing downtown tomorrow (ie Saturday) ........ but I'm going by bus, I know exactly which store I'm going to, and just what I want. Then I'll be on the bus home!

Shops opened at 9am this morning in the mall, I got there about 9.45am and the car park was filling up fast. Did all the little kids shopping and a couple of bits and pieces for others. I thought I would get Anya shoes... nope that is not going to work... she wants money... and I am loath to do just that.. her sister was 15 before she got money and at the moment I thought I would do a bit of money and a bit of presents.. so now I is getting buddy grumpy about it all.

No Gins she is not a goth... I could manage goth gear.. her other colour is lime green but that is only for hand bags and I did that for her birthday... we usually spend hours getting nowhere with her when we do birthday shopping.. I take her out and all I get is I don't know... except when it comes to having some lunch.

Oh Gracie you are so lucky with your little girl wanting yoghurt and weetbix ... have you seen what Suri Cruise wants.. pony, diamond earrings etc.... Tom is looking for suitable stables.

There is money out there Dea, but not where it is needed... I think some people just go to the malls for nothing better to do... they have no money... so they meet up have a cold drink or a bag of crisps and wander around looking at what they can't have.

Mind you, I have to say that I 'personally' 'came across' Tom Jones in the late 60's and I do not have any respect for him or his personality!!

Dea Xxx

P.S. - I think he has matured a little since then - I heard an interview quite recently which admitted that he had since 'grown up a little' !!
