Thank goodness for Oldham Sylvs........I'm sure Gins thinks I was making it up....... :-D

My tree seems okay. Truth will out when I do any work on it I guess.

My friend has had her op and all has gone well. She has just tried to phone me but her phone keeps cutting out.........oh..that's better - it's working properly. She is rather down and very tired but that is to be expected. I really hope the physios can soon sort out her mobility.

Poor Dea.........I can just imagine how you were nearly blown over - it's been horrendous. Didn't go for stamps after all - chickened out. Went out to the garage for something and gave the neighbours a shock - was wearing a flary skirt and the wind caught it..............whooops.

Genes 8 Dec 2011 15:38

Hi everyone, as you know there have been ongoing performance issues for several months now. Our most experienced Genes developer, Toby, has been working on this for the last week. He has made some improvements so that changes which are normally made via our live database are now actioned in the background. This means that the live database isn't drawn on so much, which is why performance has been affected. This is a work in progress and Toby will continue to make changes over the coming week. We'd like to thank you for alerting us to the problems you've experienced. We are really sorry it has taken so long to resolve. However, you should start to see an improvement. Please bear with us as these changes will be gradual, but we're confident that you will find the site is working much better than it has been.

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Haven't looked at my tree in months and months, so I've no idea whether anything has changed on there!

It is REALLY windy here too - I went to the supermarket and could only just stand up as I went to get a trolley!

By the time I got inside, I had to stand in a corner for 5 minutes, puffing on my inhaler struggling to breath before I could start my shopping :-(

The staff were very attentive (bless 'em!) and kept trying to get me to sit down, I told them I would be O.K. in a few minutes and was fine propped up against the wall (Really, I couldn't have got over to where the seats were until I had got the breathing going again) :-D :-D

I was very glad to get back home - this windy weather is no good for me!!

I'll bring over my gifts ready for wrapping....next week OK Cyns?

Cynthia

Cynthia Report 8 Dec 2011 18:05

One of my boys text me his new bank details so that I could refund him the payment for his UCAS fees.................

Hi Persie. Glad you had a good time - I notice things like rippling muscles too :-D

You'd better get some sleep now or you will be fit fer 'nowt!

Cards mostly sorted. Half an here and then to tackle some prezzie wrapping.

It's been sheeting it down outside and I could do with some stamps - hm.... maybe tomorrow :-D :-D

OH has had a 'bloody' nose! How he manages to get to make such a mess is beyond me. Down his front; down the washer; on the counter; on the floor - you name it - there was blood. It reminded me of when one of our dogs caught his tail in a door and the place resembled a massacre... :-S :-S

My preview and submit boxes have not changed... and I see on GR FB people talking about the new look ... re family tree and it not working properly and mine hasn't changed.

I am tired... we went to Rotorua today... my eldest daughter had her graduation her degree is a BTL (Bachelor of teaching and Learning)......... I sometimes do a BLT...

We had the full Maori welcome with the warriors leading in the graduates with their spears and very little covering them... one of the blokes had very ripply muscles... I notice these things. Prayers and hymns and a couple of speeches were all in Maori... (majority of us were pakeha and didn't understand a lot though some of us do know the hymns and the prayer.) It was a lovely sunny day and went down very well with everyone and unlike Auckland we got parking right outside the place and it did not cost heaps.
