Behave yourselves you two! Honestly...............sheeeeesh.

Just had a phone call from my friend. She is on her way to hospital to see if she has fractured her hip...................... :-( :-( :-( :-(

She took a slight tumble the other day but now it seems that the doc is concerned about her lack of mobility. Well, it's best to be on the safe side and check her out.

Must go and buy some stamps - have done half of my Christmas cards. See you later ~~~~

I was not trying to suggest that there is not a problem with GR.

Yay. Time for breakfast today.

Egg bacon and cheesey potato pasties would be a nice winter warmer.

I was not trying to suggest that there is not a problem with GR.

I was just observing there are some features that work differently with chrome and I liked those.

I did not like IE9 as it did strange things on copy and paste and that effect was not just on GR.

IE 8 is adequate but its effect on GR does not have the same finesse.

I have not used the new folders et but I am concerned that it is making things very complicated which may confuse some of the elderly or less experienced users.

We have enough trouble getting people to return to their threads as it is.

I love the KISS principle,

LK

Thanks Sylvs. How about you going to bed in your daytime and then staying up to play out with us???? :-D :-D

Wow.....was it windy or what last night? I thought the bedroom window was going to be hammered in with the rain - it sound like chunks of ice again.

It's still blowing a gale and the window cleaner has just been...... :-S

Not sure what I am up to today....but see ya later...~~~~

My 3x gt grandparents married 26 years after having their first child...both listed as widow/widower and not found the deaths of the previous spouses as yet. She married a seaman so he probably died at sea or she uped and left Liverpool and headed for London while he was away at sea, dont know what happened to his wife although I have just found a death which could well be her in 1837 in Cornwall so maybe she left him in London with his floozy :-D

I've got at least one pair who only married after all their children were born :-D Maybe it was something to do with the legalities and their wills (if they had them) - I've known that happen with older couples. It just took me ages to find their marriage........which, for me, was quite good really.

Gotta go now.........night all.....sleep well Dea.......~~~~

Dea

Dea Report 6 Dec 2011 21:32

OOhh - that's good news Ginns!

I remember helping someone with their tree once and they could never find a marriage for one of their relatives so presumed hey never did!

They had been together through MANY census's but I did eventually find that they married at the ages of about 87 and 93 !!! - So they did it at last!!

I can't remember who they were or who's tree it was but I do remember that the person was extremelly pleased at the outcome.

Anyways, good news tonight

Just got a phone call from best mate and her mom and dad are getting married after fifty years of living together!

Now I know Jamaicans are known for their laid back approach but........
