The nearest Ikea to me is at Warrington and it's on a complex with a massive M & S - ToysRUs etc. Don't go very often now. As OH says, what do we really need? After 43 years of marriage we are fortunate to have what we have and anything extra would just be for a change. Certainly don't want to go down the having more ornaments route etc.

Why would I change my curtains every month? Don't be daft. shakes head.

OH has just told me that we are likely to get snow this week.......

I am now depressed.

:-( :-( :-( :-( :-(

Gee Report 4 Dec 2011 18:56

I daresay it's OK if you go regularly and know where you're going. Have had some nice plants from there.

MC I thought you were going to say Ikea scared you because you always come out with more stuff than you need.............

......................didnt have you down for a whimp ;-)

Most of the stuff is tat there but if you get lucky you can pick up some nice things.

You know I dont do curtains but I do have drapes on either side to the french doors. I cant be ar#ed to wash and iron them so I get new from Ikea (they are only cheap)

So now I have fresh new drapes and JB washed down the pole and windows.....lovely

OOOhh - They will all be laughing at you MC as you seem to have Ikeaphobia - You sound just like me when I venture onto 'scarey' FB - they said I had Facebookaphobia and laughed at me then!

They are a cruel lot!

I know exactly what you mean though ;-)

MC - just follow the arrows! You can go off to the right and left but just go back on the arrows to follow the route round ................sigh.

There's some Ikea stuff I like but not all of it. Depends what you're after I suppose.

Cor....it's going cold here but a couple of young girls turned up for a baptism in skimpy outfits. They must have been frozen.

Mind you, after watching Frozen Planet, it makes us look like a sauna.... :-D

Who else is around then ????

MarieCeleste

MarieCeleste Report 4 Dec 2011 16:01

Ginny I can't do Ikea, it's scary because I always seem to be walking in the opposite direction to everyone else. Last time I went I had to ask a nice young man to show me where the exit was. I'm sure there's skeletons in Ikea of people who died trying to find the way out.

Hi all
xxx

just got in about 15 minutes ago, and looking for a snack to go with my bedtime cuppa :-D

I think some chunky farmhouse toast, with some bacon and sausage from the hidey-hole, and beans ... and a good helping of bubble and squeak will go down just fine

Thank you sooooooooooo much Gins

it was delicious.
