Happy Boxing Day! If you're meeting up with family today, take our handy question sheets along and see how much of a family chart you can fill in.You never know what you might find out from talking to your relatives. See if they have any old family photos you can look at together.

Start your free family tree on Genes Reunited. It's quick and easy and is the ideal place to store your findings. Enter everything you know about your family so far, and we'll let you know if we find other members with matching names in their trees.

Use our Quick Family Finder for a fantastic step-by-step guide on how to trace your family tree. Tell us a few basic details and we'll take you on a journey back in time, starting with you and going as far back as possible. You'll learn some useful tips to help with your research.

Search our records to see who else you can add to your tree. Our birth, marriage and death records and census records 1841-1911 are a logical place to start. It's so exciting to find your ancestors in the 1911 census as you'll see their handwriting!

Make sure you add any photos or documents you've found to your Keepsafe. Here you can upload your photos and save any records you've found and attach them to each of your relatives. It's a wonderful way to bring the names and dates in your tree to life.
