Can anyone help me please ?
I'm looking for the Fox Family in Quebec ! Ashley Crossley b 27/feb/1905, Belfast, N.Ireland.
she emigrated from Belfast in1927,she was still unmarried when in 1930 when she made the trip again, (I presume for her Father's funeral) ! In 1953 Ashley made the same trip again in the name of Fox ! I know that she married a Jack Fox (John?) She also had a daughter - Doreen & a son - Jackie.
I have NO further dates !! - When did she & Jack marry? Have children? Die?
Advice on where to look could stop me going 'DOOLALLY' !!!!!

Ancestry has Quebec BMDs online (the Drouin collection). She might just catch the end of these.
If you don't have a sub, check out Lorraine's thread:
http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.page/board/ancestors/thread/1239943

If they were in Montreal, then you can check the city directory:
http://bibnum2.banq.qc.ca/bna/lovell/
[NB Doreen might be listed under M as Miss Doreen]

You can check the phone book for the kids:

On her return to Canada in 1930 she said she had been in Canada from Nov. 1927-Aug. 1930 and her address then was Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario. (equivelant to your Sandhurst) Her employer was Royal Military College but that was scratched out and c/o JWC 4 or JWCA Metcalfe St. Ottawa written in. Her occupation was parlour maid.

When she arrived in 1927 she gave the address where she was going as Canadian Women's Hostel, Ottawa, Ontario.
