I have for many years now been searching for details of my maternal grandmother's brother William Morton. He was born in 1902 (6th May) in South Shields, County Durham.

I have found him in the 1911 census (along with his parents Thomas and Mabel, and his sister - my grandmother - Annie).

I really don't know much about him at all, but do know that he married a lady called Maud (not sure if this was her proper name or a nickname) but the family knew her as Maud.

William and Maud had a daughter called Jean who was born about 1934.

I have been unable to find a marriage for William and Maud, and also been unable to find a birth reference for their daughter Jean. I don't know if they had any other children.

I have photographic evidence of their marriage and also photos of baby Jean.

I don't know if they stayed in South Shields, as one of my relatives seems to remember a story about William and his family, that they MAY have moved to the Wales area.

If anyone can help me with ANY information at all, I will be eternally grateful.

Regards
Karen
