Open her tree in another window (not tab) and have yours open at the same time.

Right click the black bar at the bottom of the screen and select 'Show windows side by side. You can then see both yours and her tree at the same time and manually copy over the parts you are interested in.

Remember to go back to the black bar, to undo the side-by-side. Alternatively use the square box (between - and x ) to get them back to full size.

If you have only just started then get your cousin to send you a copy (Gedcom file) of the tree,

you can then download it to GR and then just change the root person to yourself.

Make sure you double check all the details in the tree and make sure there is documentary evidance to back it up

This will of course overwrite your tree so you need to make sure the new tree has all the info you already have or it will be lost

Hi

I am reasonably new to the subject of genealogy and have started my family tree. My cousin has given me access to her tree, is there any way I can copy parts of her tree that will be the same as mine into my tree or do I have to write it all down and then type into my tree.

Many thanks for any help anyone can give me.
