Sylvia - no - FreeBMD plans on transcribing the printed index which ran 1837q3 thru 1983q4. Currently, there is no completely transcribed quarter of any flavour past 1972q3.

The free site, www.freebmd.org.uk will eventually carry bmd records from July 1 1837 to approximately 1975

ancestry carries bmd records from July 1 1837 to about 2005/2006 ................... with the ones from 1937 to 1915 having been bought from freebmd

the free site www.family search.org/search has just begun carrying bmds fro July 1 1837 up until about 2007/2008

GR uses the bmds originally transcribed by its sister site FindMyPast .................... I have no idea if there is any plan to update those

GRO, the government's General Register Office, from which source all other sites obtain their information, did announce several years ago that they would not be putting any records on line after 2006

you will get better results from any of the above sites

They are not planning on updating them as far as I am aware

That's on any site

The BMD records are getting quite out of date. When are they likely to be updated?
