Looking at the transcripts:

http://www.opcdorset.org/WarehamFiles/WarehamBaps1791-1815.htm

1804:

24-Jun George s of George & Elizabeth Laws [Lady St Mary]<<<<<<<<<<<<

25-Jun William Henry s of George & Elizabeth Laws s of Henry & Kezia Dunning [South Street Chapel]<<<<<<<<<<

So did the transcriber just have a blip and for some reason mix up two transcriptions?

thank you all for your help

very confused now as I can't work out where the Law's fit in
Henry's parents were John Dunning and Eiizabeth Elby and it looks like safc found Kezia's baptisms, that is if my research is correct

If you have ever looked on the non-conformist site www.bmdregisters.co.uk, you will see that it is quite common for grandparents to be named.

I've had a look at some of the other entries and I would be more inclined to think that the second "s" should have been a "d" - meaning that Elizabeth Laws was the daughter of Henry and Kezia Dunning - therefore the maternal grandparents are named (although I don't know why).

This seems to be the case in some other entries.

Either that or a name has been missed out of the transcription and there should be the name of a son belonging to Henry and Kezia Dunning.

If I'm wrong I would be happy to know exactly what the entry means. Is there a method of contacting the OPC to ask questions?
